Oh and what is death anyway?
Why must we be filled with such sorrow for loss of a body?
Is it that we are selfish?
Is our sorrow just self-loathing?
The body may die but the spirit always lives on.
It is held in the hearts of those affected.
It can be summoned with sweet thoughts or just a name.
Love keeps spirits alive.
But death scares most.
They cannot accept it.
Perhaps it is because it serves
to validate the uselessness of life.
Or perhaps it serves to prove
bounds beyond the mortal realm.
Some just cannot come to terms with death’s complexities.
I say do not be sorrowful.
For once a spirit was locked within a mortal shell.
It is now free to exist everywhere as everything.
Spirits like gas filling a container.
