• Book VI: Return to Saturn

    Visions of the Dream

I am garbed in the clothes of my people.
I lay to sleep with a weary heart.
    I dream of my death.

    The Sickness in Sorrow.
    The Twins in turmoil.

They laid me on a bed of flowers,
but no one knew when I died,
    because I was…
    So pale already.

    I saw the Eagle again.

    They must separate my remains,
    lest I return, again.

    Gods forbid. Gods forbid.

I went home to my family.
    On the couch I slept,
    wrapped in a blanket,
    with my pets.

They gave me a bus ticket…

    Told me to,

    “Beat it bum.”

    I was doing alright,
until I thought of her, again…
    Then, Death.
    Death!, Théoden’s cry.
    I am dead now.

    Broken. Broken. Broken. Broken.

    Never to seethe fire, together.
