• Book IV: Book of Poems

    The minstrel’s Song;
    The Bard bares his soul.

    Temptation.
    Oh, Temptation,
    you occupy my all.

    Temptation.
    Oh, Temptation,
    you make me fall.

    Heart.
    Oh, heart,
    what does it seem?

    Heart.
    Oh, heart,
    but was it a dream?

    Sweet divine, love.
    I see what’s above.
    Above me is love.
I see you. I see me.

    Sweetness, oh my,
    why do I cry?
    Sweetness, oh my,
I love you. You love me.

    If it was only
    for a minute
    then I am satisfied
    to have known
    you then
    and there.

    Curse this terrible affair.
    Why does my heart decide
    on things
    I cannot have?

Now, my brain is in on it too.

    It’s a grand conspiracy!
    Fantastic travesty.
    No! No! Why can I…
    Not have friends..?

    It is a grand conspiracy!
    My eyes betray me,
    constantly.
    Always.
    Oh and it does,
    often
    speak for my mouth.

    THE GAZE

Which protrudes, all on its own.
    Always.

Will you never speak to me again?
Though, I had become your friend.
    Time and again.

    Her love.
    Her love.
    Sweet dove.

    Oh sweet Sorrow,
    bring me tomorrow.
    So, that I may,
    wash this dreadful affair away.

This feeling of being utterly… Depressed.

    Terrible!
    I’ve really stumbled
    into it
    this time.

    Do you realize?
    The energy
    you gave me
    like wine?

    Love-drunk joy then SICK!

    Lovely lady,
    Someday maybe.

Oh how you get to do what you do and I cannot do that.
