Book II: Second Iteration of Sorrow

I.

For once I knew great love, and it was fine.
Now I am alone. It is fine.


II.

Enter the heretic. For he is I and he lives in my heart.


III.

Love flows from her to me. I am drunk with her gaze.


IV.

Nothing more can come of this,
For I am her heart’s temptation, and
I am the Devil.


V.

Because of my unintended influence, her heart grows uncertain.


VI.

The gods watch eagerly to see how I will proceed.
Each tugs a string. Each plays a card. But,
I can deny their influence.


VII.

Chronos blesses me! 12 days to hatch a plot.
All wait for my move.
I take solace. I retreat to my chamber.

Time tricks.

I am flush with despair and depression.
My future course is foggy.
