Artist’s Statement

I create abstract paintings and poems inspired by the landscapes of the Great Lakes and the Sonoran Desert. Through layered color, texture, and symbolism, my work explores memory, migration, belonging, and personal transformation. I am interested in how places shape identity and how those influences persist long after we leave them.
