Artist’s Statement

I create abstract mixed-media paintings using acrylic, oil, and watercolor, informed by the landscapes of the Great Lakes and the Sonoran Desert. Through layered color, texture, and symbolism, I explore memory, migration, belonging, and personal transformation. My work reflects an interest in how places shape identity and continue to resonate throughout our lives.
