Begin a one-of-a-kind painting created specifically for you.

This $500 deposit begins the commission process and reserves time for developing your work. After your deposit is received, we’ll discuss the ideas, scale, materials, palette, and direction for your painting and establish a final commission price and timeline together.

The $500 deposit is fully refundable if we decide not to move forward with the commission. If we do proceed, the deposit is credited in full toward the final price of the painting.

Every commission is created as an original Benjamin Bardot painting, developed through the same layered, material-driven practice as the work in the studio.

How it works

1. Place the deposit
Purchase the $500 refundable commission deposit through the shop.

2. Begin the conversation
We’ll discuss what you’re looking for—including size, materials, color, subject or abstraction, and any personal ideas or references you want to bring into the work.

3. Establish the commission
Once the direction, scale, materials, price, and estimated timeline are agreed upon, we’ll confirm the commission.

4. The painting is made
Your work is created by hand in the studio as an original, one-of-a-kind painting.

5. Your deposit is applied
The full $500 deposit is deducted from the final commission balance.

Please note

The $500 deposit is not the final price of the painting. Commission pricing varies according to size, materials, and complexity.

No commission is considered confirmed until the scope and final price have been mutually agreed upon. If we decide not to proceed, the deposit will be refunded.
