Description
What the Water Remembered is an original mixed-media painting exploring memory as something carried, altered, and preserved by place.
Built through layers of acrylic, oil paint pen, cheesecloth, rope, fibers, and exposed raw canvas, the work brings material and gesture together in a surface that feels both accumulated and eroded. The title gestures toward the persistence of place; the things landscapes hold onto even after we have moved beyond them.
An original one-of-a-kind work by Benjamin Bardot, painted in 2025.
